A historic Madison building whose fate has been up in the air for years may be getting a reprieve. The City of Madison is accepting proposals from developers interested in renovating the 109-year-old Garver Feed Mill, which currently stands empty in Olbrich Park. The city has set several conditions for those interested in revitalizing the property, including a requirement that all proposals remain sensitive to the needs of the neighborhood and the adjacent Olbrich Botanical Gardens. Plans to use the space as an arts incubator were scrapped a few years ago, and the building’s future has been in limbo ever since.
