The city of Madison’s Housing Tracker was updated earlier this week with the latest data from February. Key findings are as follows:

A total of 245 new homes were completed over the month and are move-in ready, bringing the city’s year-to-date total to 350 net new homes added; and

A total of 4,380 new homes are currently under construction, including 833 homes that will be affordable at below-market rate prices once they’re done.
The pace of construction is anticipated to pick up in the spring and summer as the weather improves. Additional updates to the Housing Tracker will be made monthly.
