The future of a nearly 172-acre area containing West Towne Mall is currently being considered by city planners, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report.

The vision for the area could include a mix of housing, office buildings, bike paths, sidewalks, and parks. The plan could also include the extension of Odana Road to dissect the mall by continuing west. One phase includes the option of removing the center of the mall and replacing it with a park. No proposals by developers have been submitted, but planners are meeting with property and business owners, community groups, residents, and elected officials to get input on the plan.
