The city of Madison Food Policy Council announced the opening of the 2025 SEED Grants cycle to address food access issues in the community. SEED Grants are small grants designed to support new and recently emerging projects or programs that support access to healthy food.

The city’s 2025 budget includes $50,000 in grant funds to be distributed by the Madison Food Policy Council. The council is encouraging applications from any organization, group, or agency that works to make food more accessible to city residents. The maximum grant amount will be $10,000.

Interested applicants should go to the city’s SEED Grants webpage to access the background letter and application form. Applications are due Feb. 21 by 11:59 p.m. and should be submitted to the Madison Food Policy Council.

Applications will be reviewed and funding recommendations made in March. Final decisions will be announced in late March or early April.
