Minneapolis-based Mortenson Development has been recommended by city of Madison staff for the development of a prominent site at 415 N. Lake St., according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal. The firm could be the developer that replaces the obsolete State Street Campus Garage with housing, commercial space, public parking, and an intercity bus garage. The project aims to demolish the existing, 510-stall State Street Campus Garage and retain a separate 542-stall addition constructed at 430 N. Frances St. in 1982.
