Madison’s high-speed internet network could be expanded to include everyone in the city, including neighborhoods, schools, businesses, and every household, though it could be a while before such a program were instituted, according to a story in the Wisconsin State Journal.

A study conducted by CTC Technology and Energy recommended the plan, which would likely be made possible with a mix of public and private investment.

CTC recommends the city build and own the fiber network, with private companies providing internet service.
