The city of Madison is launching a new initiative to promote equitable access to renewable energy, having recently received a grant of $291,340 from the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program, according to a recent press release.

This funding will be used to develop a web and database platform for Madison’s Building Energy Savings Program — a tool to help establish benchmarks and analyze energy use across buildings, streamlining compliance and measuring the program’s impact.

This project is a component of Madison’s strategy to enhance energy efficiency city-wide.
