The city of Madison completed its annual Food Cart Review process, and 33 vendors qualified to be considered for a vending site in the mall/concourse vending area located along the Capitol Square and Library Mall in the 2025–26 season. A call for volunteers to review food carts applying for next year’s vending season generated over 900 applications for 22 community reviewer spots; the 22 selected reviewers looked at 38 applying vendors and submitted their scores to the city.
The city’s Vending Oversight Committee will approve the official map of vending locations before the year’s end. Once the map is approved, the city’s Street Vending program supervisor will work with vendors to assign sites, which will be available at the start of vending season on April 15, 2025.
