City Dog Vet and Grooming, opened in summer 2020, invites the Madison community to an open house on Wednesday, Oct. 11 from 4–6 p.m. at 1004 East Washington Ave. The event is family friendly, and pets are welcome.

The open house will include a tour of the clinic as well as opportunities to meet the City Dog team, learn about canine health and grooming care, and win raffle prizes. Local artist, art teacher, former UW basketball alum, and founder of Lou Art Louis Ely will also be painting pet portraits.

Local nonprofit Guardian Whiskers will also have therapy teams from its Book Buddies program — hosted regularly at City Dog Vet — present for a meet and greet. On weekends, the Book Buddies teams promote literacy with kids at City Dog Vet, providing pet companions to read to.

Madison Instagram personality Jason Nolen of @dogsofmadison will be present as well, taking pictures of attending dogs.
