The Madison City Council has approved zoning changes and a general development plan to expand the Hilldale Shopping Center, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. The plan includes more retail space, an outdoor plaza, and potentially a hotel or housing in the area of the former BMO Harris Bank property south of Hilldale. The plan also makes way for four new buildings and a possible conversion of the AMC movie theater into more retail space if the cinema does not renew its lease.
