Charter-Time Warner deal nearly complete

The sale of Time Warner Cable to Charter Communications was completed after the deal received regulatory approval. When finalized, the $55.1 billion deal will create the second-largest cable TV and Internet provider in the country, second only to Comcast.

In Wisconsin, Time Warner served most of southeast Wisconsin, including Milwaukee, but after the deal, 90% of Wisconsin cable and Internet customers will be serviced by the combined company operating under the Charter Communications name.
