Changes considered for Hilldale Shopping Center

WS Development, which purchased Madison’s Hilldale Shopping Center in a sheriff’s foreclosure sale in June 2012, is considering major changes to the mall, particularly in the back area behind Macy’s. Ideas being discussed include a new outdoor mall behind Macy’s that would wrap around to Metcalfe’s Market. A neighborhood meeting about the changes is scheduled for July 11, and WS Development hopes to make an informal presentation to the Urban Design Commission later this summer.
