A west Madison jewelry shop owner is uncertain of the business’ future following a burglary that depleted some of its high-end pieces, Fox47 reports. Rosalina Perez is still assessing the extent of stolen inventory, and several other business owners have reported damage as well.
Madison police were dispatched to the Odana Road store on Sunday at 11:15 a.m. The suspect or suspects broke into several neighboring businesses using chainsaws to gain access to the jewelry shop. Law enforcement is still seeking leads regarding the number of suspects involved and their whereabouts as of Monday evening.
Perez’s business has been operational for four to five years and for two years in its current location.
