Centro Hispano of Dane County’s new space is taking shape, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport. The organization’s current space, at 810 W. Badger Road in Madison, has become inadequate and the organization has begun a $15 million campaign to build a new facility. The new and larger facility will serve as a space for culture, education, training, and celebrations. The project involves a two-story, 25,000-square-foot building and a large indoor/outdoor plaza with an exterior water feature and underground parking. The proposed one-acre parcel of land at the corner of Hughes Place and Cypress Way is currently owned by the city and adjacent to the organization’s current home. Centro Hispano has been serving the Dane County community for 40 years and has been located at the Badger Road address for 22 years.
