Initial preparations have begun at the corner of East Wilson and Ingersoll streets for a $600,000 restroom building that will be part of the Phase I development of the city’s Central Park project. The $14 million project will eventually create a park and greenway area that will extend from the Yahara River to Blair Street. It has been stalled by funding and safety concerns surrounding an active rail line that cuts through the park.
