Since The Center for Black Excellence and Culture launched its History in the Making campaign last month, 84 donors have contributed over $295,000 toward the May 1 goal of $1 million.

Just $705,000 is left to raise to finish out the capital campaign. Those who contribute a donation by May 1 will have their name added to The Center’s African Drum Giving Wall.

The Center is set to be complete later this year and will be a space for Black artists, entrepreneurs, community members, and more.
