Center for Black Excellence and Culture announces fundraising, construction progress

On the heels of its recent announcement regarding newly-hired COO Jason Fields, the Center for Black Excellence and Culture on Thursday released updates on additional facility and funding milestones.

The Center exceeded its end-of-year fundraising goal, generating over $260,000 from 138 donors. An anonymous donor, IncredibleBank Foundation, and the Brewers Community Foundation, provided a combined matching gift of $160,000. The Center has raised over $30,000,000 and has just $1 million left to open debt-free. It continues to seek donations.

The Center also announced that it will host a virtual community event celebrating Black History Month on Feb. 27 from 5–5:45 p.m. Click here to register.
