Cellular Dynamics reports $25M net loss

Cellular Dynamics reported a net loss of $25 million ($3.17 per share) in 2013, compared to a loss of $22.3 million ($12.89 per share) for 2012. For the fourth quarter of 2013, the company posted a net loss of $6.7 million (43 cents per share), compared with a net loss of $5.8 million ($3.35 per share) for the fourth quarter of 2012. The company also reported total revenues of $11.9 million for the year ended Dec. 31, compared to $6.6 million the previous year, an increase of 81%. The company cited an increase in sales of its iCell products and of new cell types in early release testing as reasons for the revenue boost.
