Cellular Dynamics International (CDI) will license stem cell patents from GE Healthcare Life Sciences. GE Healthcare has been licensing stem cell technology from Geron Corp., and this agreement allows CDI access to that intellectual property. The patent deal also expands CDI’s portfolio to over 700 of its own patents, patent applications, and licensed patents, providing extra protection from legal challenges to its products.
