Brookfield’s CC&N is rapidly expanding its pool of technicians to meet the demands of AI and data centers, the company said in a statement.
While some worry about AI taking jobs, CC&N is experiencing the opposite.
“We’re the people who make technology work, the ones pulling the fiber, building the infrastructure and keeping the world connected,” Dan Witkofski, president of CC&N, said in a statement. “Our technicians are the backbone of AI and digital communication, and because we’re employee-owned, every technician has a stake in the future they’re helping to build.”
CC&N designs, builds and maintains wired and wireless networks for numerous businesses, including data centers. It needs technicians to join a “modern-day blue-collar tech workforce,” which includes professionals trained to install and maintain physical infrastructure powering AI, automation and digital communication.
“The jobs we are adding represent the front line of the AI infrastructure boom,” Witkofski said. “Our teams are building some of the most high-tech systems in the world, right here in Wisconsin.”
