The City of Madison selected Catholic Charities to operate a new day resource center for the homeless at 615 E. Washington Ave. in the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce building.
The county purchased the building for $1.75 million and will begin $1 million in renovations when the Chamber vacates it later this year.
The day resources center will offer refuge, a computer lab, laundry, showers, and storage, among other services.
