The Madison Police and Fire Commission selected Madison firefighter and EMS training Division Chief Chris Carbon as the city’s next fire chief, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. Carbon is a Middelton resident who has been with the Madison department since 1999. He attended Madison West High School and holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
