The Capitol is celebrating the lighting ceremony for the State Capitol Tree on Friday, Dec. 1. Holiday visitors coming to view the tree adorning the rotunda will be able to purchase the 2023 Capitol Ornament, according to WisBusiness. This year’s Wisconsin Capitol Ornament collectible ornament commemorates the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra’s (WCO) 40th Anniversary of Concerts on the Square of the State Capitol.

The Capitol Ornament program, which began in 2004, is supported by the Wisconsin Historical Foundation. Proceeds from the sale of the ornament go to the Capitol Restoration Fund.
