The Canopy Center in Madison, which provides stabilizing services and therapeutic treatment for children who have been abused and/or neglected, has launched a new campaign, WMTV15 reports. The center is selling kits consisting of several items, including a pinwheel — a universal symbol of child abuse prevention.
The organization will also host a Stand Up for Kids event at the Goodman Community Center on May 8 starting at 5:30 p.m. There will be music and a silent auction, and proceeds will support the safety and stability of children.
