Camping and state park visits up dramatically

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has recorded a large increase in camping reservations, with 73% of campsites reserved July 1–31, 2020 compared to just 62% for the same period last year.

Since mid-March, visits to state parks totaled over 6.4 million. Fishing and turkey licenses also saw substantial increases with a growth of 14% and 10%, respectively, over 2019.
