Jazz musician Hanah Jon Taylor is hoping to reopen Café CODA, a “music listening room” at 1222 Williamson St. by March or April.
The jazz club enjoyed a brief six-month trial run on West Dayton Street in a building that will be leveled and replaced by a Provenance Hotel.
The city’s Alcohol License Review Committee is reviewing the club’s license application and Taylor will also need to get a conditional use permit from the Plan Commission for the nightclub (versus a restaurant or bar designation).
The Willy Street location would operate Wednesdays through Sunday evening and close by midnight, according to The Capital Times.
