The owner of 17 convenience stores in the area has been sentenced for his refusal to stop selling illegal products in some of his stores.

Farooq Shahzad, founder and owner of Capitol Petro and CP Mart stores, was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison for selling synthetic marijuana (aka “K2” or “Spice”) and untaxed contraband including smokeless tobacco, despite being warned in 2015 and again in 2016, according to a Wisconsin State Journalstory.
