Butcher and cheese shop to open in Mount Horeb

Artemis Provisions & Cheese, operating since early 2020 as an online retailer, will open a shop in Mount Horeb, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal. Once the $2 million renovation is completed, the 6,000-square-foot space, at 213-215 South Main St., will include a butcher and deli counter, cheese cases, and a commercial kitchen on the first floor. Meanwhile, the lower level of the buildings will be used to process quartered cows, hogs, sheep, and goats raised at 15 area farms. Another business at the location, The Pop Place, will remain but will undergo remodeling.
