Own It: Building Black Wealth, a local program that works to increase Black and brown homeownership in Dane County, announced Lake Ridge Bank as the first official agency ambassador in its growing Ambassador Program.
Based in Madison and co-founded by local real estate professionals Sara Alvarado and Tiffany Malone, Own It partners with real estate professionals, financial institutions and partner organizations serving primarily people of color to provide education and down payment assistance.
The Lake Ridge Bank milestone expands the program’s reach from individual real estate professionals to institutions. As an agency ambassador, Lake Ridge Bank has committed to contributing to the Own It fund for every residential, new construction and refinance closing completed monthly.
Agency ambassadors make systematic contributions based on real estate closings by pledging a portion of their revenue or other earnings to Own It’s down payment fund.
Participation is voluntary and may be ended at any time. There is no minimum contribution required.
