The Milwaukee Bucks will hold their training camp in Madison this fall, and also plan to play a preseason game at the Kohl Center, the team said Monday at a news conference at the Kohl Center.
According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Bucks are trying to emphasize their statewide presence amid efforts to get a new Milwaukee arena approved by the state legislature.
Training camp opens Sept. 29 and continues for four days on the UW campus, where the Bucks will hold practices at the Badgers’ practice facility, the Nicholas-Johnson Pavilion.
The preseason game at the Kohl Center is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 20, when the Bucks square off against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The game is at 7 p.m. and tickets go on sale Aug. 5.
