The Milwaukee Bucks have shared design plans for a $500 million, 17,000-seat arena to replace the BMO Harris Bradley Center in downtown Milwaukee. The team believes the project could spur an additional $500 million in development in the city’s Park East corridor over the next 10 to 12 years.

According to the team website, the Bucks would like the proposed 700,000-square-foot arena and a practice facility to break ground later this year so it is ready for the 2017-18 NBA season.

A 60,000-square-foot entertainment block is also a key element of the plan.
