Bruker Corp., a Massachusetts-based scientific instrument maker, acquired Prairie Technologies of Middleton for an undisclosed amount. Prairie Technologies has about 30 employees and posted 2012 revenues of $11 million. Reportedly, it will remain in Madison but operate as a business unit of Bruker. Bruker Corp. also has a Fitchburg business, Bruker AXS, which makes devices that determine the structure of molecules.
