Developer Curt Brink is looking ahead. Brink, already in the process of transforming the historic Kleuter building on the former Mautz Paint site on East Washington Avenue into a boutique, 5-story, 144-room Hotel Indigo that should open next spring, now is proposing a towering 13-story office building next to the hotel in the “Archipelago Village” development.
According to a Capital Timesreport, the proposed tower, in the 900 block of East Washington Ave., meets neighborhood zoning limits, and Brink hopes to approach the city soon with more formal plans. If all goes well, the tower could break ground next summer.
