Significant upgrades to Breese Stevens Field that were scheduled for 2021 could happen this year if the Madison City Council approves a resolution this week to funnel $1.3 million into Breese Stevens improvements, according to a story in the Wisconsin State Journal.
Proposed improvements would include increasing the number of seats from 3,700 to 5,000 and scheduling more concerts and events, among others.
Changes to the historic field would be equally funded between general obligation debt and park impact fee funding.
