A new breakfast and taco spot is set to open in the Tenney-Lapham neighborhood by the middle of August, according to The Capital Times. The news follows the recent closure of East Johnson Family Restaurant.
El Rancho Breakfast and Tacos will offer scratch-made pancakes, French toast, and omelets in the mornings and a lunch and dinner menu similar to that of El Rancho Mexican Grill on Park Street, which includes tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos, and more. The restaurant is owned by José Torres and his son, Gerardo Florencio-Reyes.
There will be no servers, and some beverages will be self-serve. Owners are pursuing a liquor license for a bar with margaritas, mojitos, and beer. They also plan to serve fish fry on Fridays and prime rib on Saturdays.
The restaurant will be closed Mondays and open Tuesday–Thursday from 8 a.m.–8 p.m., Friday–Saturday from 8 a.m.–midnight, and Sunday from 8 a.m.–3 p.m.
