John McKenzie, owner of McKenzie Apartment Co. and longtime supporter of the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County, agreed to donate $1 million, a third of the cost of the club’s $3 million renovation project in Sun Prairie. If the organization’s board accepts McKenzie’s donation, it will be the largest donation the organization has ever received from an individual, reports Michael Johnson, president and CEO, in a Wisconsin State Journalstory.
When renovation of the former Peach Lutheran Church at 232 Windsor St. is complete in January, it will also become the largest Boys & Girls Club in the state.
