Milwaukee-based Bon-Ton Stores Inc., which operates 272 department stores including Boston Store and Younkers, reported net losses of $34.1 million ($1.74/share) for the first fiscal quarter ending May 2.
During the same quarter in 2014, the company posted a loss of $31.5 million ($1.63/share). Same-store sales grew slightly, from $607.5 million in the first quarter of 2014 to $610.9 million in 2015, for a 0.8% rise.
