Turnstyle Cycle has opened a downtown Madison location, the sixth location for the business and the first located outside of the Boston area. The indoor cycling studio has set up shop inside the Ovation Building, at 305 W. Johnson St., and offers beat-based, high-energy, 45-minute workouts that use music to dictate the workouts with riders challenging themselves by adding choreography or weights. Co-owners Tom Resor and Jaime Reichlen relocated to Madison to expand Turnstyle to the Midwest. They chose Madison as a “launching pad,” citing the city’s reputation for healthy lifestyles, the thriving UW–Madison campus, and the State Capitol that animates the downtown.
