Michelle Behnke, a member of Madison’s Boardman Clark law firm, on Aug. 11 was sworn in as president of the American Bar Association (ABA) and will serve a one-year term.
Prior to joining Boardman Clark, Behnke was the principal of the firm Michelle Behnke & Associates, focusing on business, real estate and estate planning. She also formerly chaired the ABA Commission on Racial and Ethnic Diversity in the Profession and was president of the State Bar of Wisconsin from 2004-05.
Behnke received an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a law degree from the UW Law School.
