The owners of the local Mexican restaurant Blue Agave say Dec. 12 will be the restaurant’s last day, according to a story in the Wisconsin State Journal. Located at 117 S. Butler St., the restaurant opened in 2017 but struggled with parking issues, city rules and regulations, and a location in a residential neighborhood.
Last year, a shooting outside the restaurant that was tied to Blue Agave customers ended entertainment plans.
Jose Mata co-owns the restaurant with Sandra Alamilla Lopez and her brother Fabian Alamilla. Mata hints that it could reopen if he finds a suitable spot with parking.
