Bloom Bake Shop owner Annemarie Maitri purchased a building at 1923 Monroe St. with plans to open a new restaurant.
Bloom’s original location at 1851 grew too small during the pandemic as it was transformed into mainly a bakery without a cafe, so Maitri expanded into a space at 1859 Monroe St., according to an Isthmus report.
She opened Lallande there in 2023.
The newly purchased building was most recently the One & Only coffee shop, and before that, it was the Belgian beer bar Brasserie V.

The new bakery production space should open by December. And a new concept, currently undecided, will open by spring.
