Dish Network, which owns Blockbuster video-rental stores, announced it will close nearly 300 locations throughout the U.S. and shut down its DVD-by-mail service, eliminating about 2,800 jobs. The company had already shut down 500 stores earlier this year. The closures are expected by the end of January.
