Blexx wins Elevator Pitch Olympics

Given 90 seconds to pitch their startup companies, investors and over 500 attendees at the two-day Early Stage Symposium in Madison heard a host of early startup ideas from entrepreneurs looking for investors.

The winner was Blexx, a company that disintegrates used hypodermic needles almost instantly. Erin Tenderholt is the CEO and also a senior at UW­–Madison.

Fifteen other companies also competed, including Greg Aretakis, who is hoping for $8 million to resurrect Midwest Express Airlines in Wisconsin.
