At least seven communities are interested in hosting Black Earth Meats, the organic meat processing company and slaughterhouse that was recently booted out of town by the Village of Black Earth. According to a report in The Wisconsin State Journal, representatives from between seven and 10 communities across Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, and Minnesota are interested in reopening the business under a new name in their locations. At least four of the business’s partners are interested.
