The Madison Black Chamber of Commerce has started the “Black & Brown Entrepreneur Center,” a new incubator program to provide business owners of color with the resources they need to develop and grow their companies, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. The first incubator aims to help 10 entrepreneurs of color with weekly training sessions held Tuesday evenings until Dec. 14. at the Madison Black Chamber of Commerce building on South Park Street. The program is also available online for participants who don’t feel safe meeting in person. The training will cover business planning, licensure and certification, market research, accounting, and financing. Participants in the incubator program have access to resources including a $500 grant, invitations to networking events, and a one-year membership to either the Madison Black or Latino Chamber.
