Wisconsin lawmakers this week reintroduced a bipartisan bill that aims to strengthen the state’s health care workforce by changing regulations for advanced practice registered nurses, according to WisBusiness.

The APRN Modernization Act would authorize registered nurses across Wisconsin to practice independently without a collaborative agreement with a doctor. Many statewide nurses have reportedly been calling for this change for several years, and 27 other states have enacted similar laws.
