Madison-based Fujifilm Cellular Dynamics at 525 Science Drive is expanding with a new Madison headquarters facility, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport. The 18-year-old company founded by University of Wisconsin–Madison stem cell pioneer James Thomson will triple its footprint in Madison with a new 140,000-square-foot facility on Excelsior Drive. The company plans to increase its workforce from 200 to 400 employees by 2030. The company makes human-induced pluripotent stem cells for disease research, drug testing, and the development of potential cell therapies for conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, heart disease, cancer, and eye disorders.
