A lawsuit filed by Adams Outdoor Advertising against the Dane County Board has been thrown out.
Adams sued the board last summer alleging that Sup. Paul Rusk had violated the state open meetings law by encouraging other board members to vote against renewing a lease of land where Adams had owned three billboards since 1987.
According to the Wisconsin State Journal, Circuit Judge Frank Remington threw the case out claiming Adams did not present enough evidence to support the allegations.
The lease expires on Dec. 31, but Adams may appeal the ruling.
