A new worker’s compensation bill signed by Gov. Tony Evers will raise pay for permanently and totally disabled workers, Wisconsin Watch reported.
For some, this will be the first raise in a decade.
The bill would allow about 210 PTD recipients to be eligible for raises, changing the date of injury allowed for raises from before Jan. 1, 2003, to Jan. 1, 2020.
The maximum weekly benefit for PTD recipients will rise from $669 to $1,051.
And recipients will also receive annual raises, though the amount will vary depending on the person.
