Bill passed will turn name, image and likeness policies into state law

A bill that will use millions of taxpayer money for the University of Wisconsin-Madison to turn the name, image and likeness policies into state law passes the Assembly on Thursday, the Wisconsin State Journal reported.  

The bill, Assembly Bill 1034, passed with no discussionRep. Dan Knodl, R-Germantown, was the single person to vote against it, and three lawmakers were not in attendance. 

The bill will now head to the Senate.
